Kevin Creasman is the Operations Captain with the Transylvania County Sheriff’s Office commanding the patrol division, criminal investigations division and support services division, having served in that role since 2006. Kevin is a lifelong resident of Transylvania County where he graduated Brevard High School in 1987. He attended Asheville Buncombe Technical Community College and earned his basic law enforcement certificate. In 1992 he joined the Transylvania County Sheriff’s Office as a patrol deputy.

Captain Creasman has served in many roles at the Sheriff’s office including North Carolina Department of Justice Instructor, Firearms Instructor, pepper gas instructor, chemical munitions instructor, flashbang instructor, sub-machine gun instructor, field training officer, Special Response team(SRT) member, SRT Commander and Field Training Supervisor. He has previously held the rank of Sergeant and Lieutenant at the Sheriff’s Office. Captain Creasman has attended many specialized classes including the 2013 Western North Carolina Law Enforcement Leadership Academy. 

He and his family are members of Pisgah Forest Baptist Church, and in his spare time he especially enjoys spending time outdoors with his two sons.
